sc is a free command-line spreadsheet calculator software that runs in Unix operating system and its derivatives. It is also ported for Windows operating system in a binary file format. It can be accessed through Linux terminal, and has a simple interface and keyboard shortcuts resembling the key bindings of Vim editor. It can be used in a similar manner to other spreadsheet programs for financial and budgeting reasons. The program is based on curses interface library, and has a rich manual page describing its options and configuration. It has a rich mathematical formula library and uses the same file format as Xspread, also supporting plugins as external commands. The program was previously known as vc. sc is already present in the default repositories of popular Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Fedora, and Arch Linux.
